This image combines images from my former hometown of Hammond, Indiana with elements from Hot Wheel Playsets. Neighborhood life contains many facades, whether it be smiles for neighbors, perfect lawns, or the chase for the American Dream. I wanted to point at the falsehood of these types of notions, creating a type of set for the ensuing theater of living in the suburbs.
